Habits successful people follow, can you?

Written by Leonescu Claudia

We always see them. Flipping through magazines, when turning on your TV, when scrolling down your Facebook news feed or just surfing the Internet. Maybe you can even spot them on the street or at some events. Rich, successful people, they are the ones we’re talking about. We might feel inspired by some of them and even envious on others, the hard fact here is that we’d all want to be like them.

Although there is no precise recipe for success, it usually is a mixture of smart choices, personal skills and other traits, we could even say, good timing. But there are certain habits and mantras that successful individuals follow.

Be an early bird!

Maybe mornings are not really your favorite part of the day and without coffee you can’t just get your brain to function, but you are going to need to start doing this. If you will get up earlier than you would normally, you’ll have plenty of time to get things done and you will also be ready for whatever the day has prepared for you. You should also have a mourning day-to-day routine, whether it’s working out, eating breakfast while reading the newspaper or walking the dog, it is substantial to start your day with a structure.

Be organized, plan your entire day and make time for personal projects!

Create and keep up a daily schedule will allow your productivity to be at the highest level possible. Whatever the objectives are, successful people start and finish their tasks in the best manner they can. Besides work you also need to focus on your passions and interests, take time to do things for you and invest in yourself and your potential. You need to create your own opportunities, those successful people you see everywhere didn’t just sat around and waited for things to happen, take a second job, a part-time job, start a website, a blog, do freelancing, surely it’s going to be a lot of blood, sweat and tears, but it will be worth it.

Live frugally, understand your true value and think positively!

Dave Ramsey once said „We buy things we don’t need with money we don’t have to impress people we don’t like” and it’s a completely legitimate statement. Looking like you’re made of money does not make you worth a million. Successful people don’t aim impressing people with the things they have, but rather with what they are actually capable of. They took their time to discover and better understand their values, their dreams and goals, so that they could go back to our previous advice and start taking matters in their own hands. Keep a positive attitude no matter what life throws at you and don’t dwell on the negativity that surrounds you. Don’t think too much about what went wrong, instead focus on how you can resolve the problem.

The world is full of methods, systems, calculations, books and strategies bound to help you become successful, but in fact, the whole power is inside you.

About the author

Leonescu Claudia

Initially when I turned to writing it was a decision made on some pretty shallow grounds, first off it was Carrie Bradshaw building a fire under my writing juices. Spicing that up with some reading, somewhere in my 2nd year of collage I was already fascinated. Margaret Laurence once said ”When I say work I only mean writing. Everything else is just odd jobs.” and I find that painfully true.
If it's something you're drawn to, you reach for it in any of its forms, either it's in a newspaper, on a blog, maybe a book or a novel or you just go full-freelancing, you reach for it:)
