Avocados are one of the most delicious, creamy fruits you could lay your hands on, while in the same time being rich in nutrients and fats. Not only you can effectively add it in your salads, smoothies, pastas or guacamole recipes, you can use it as a savory snack while watching your favorite TV Show or reading a book.

Why are avocados the super fruits? Well, first of all they can lower the risk of life-threatening illnesses, which is the foremost reason. Being pumped with monounsaturated oleic acid and over 20 vitamins, avocados can help you prevent cardiovascular diseases. Reducing and regulating the blood flow while in the same time lowering your cholesterol levels is what each bit of avocado is doing. We know bananas can help with this as well, but avocados are beating them in matters of potassium levels. According to studies, patients suffering from bone diseases such as arthritis, osteoporosis or other rheumatic conditions have experienced lesser pain after using avocado extracts.

Furthermore, avocados can help with weight loss. Fact: about half of this fruit contains 3,4 grams of fiber which is just the body needs to keep your digestive system running accordingly. Although this does not mean you’ll instantly get skinnier, but it will have an effect if you add it your diet. If you’re experiencing indigestion problems, an avocado can reduce stomach inflammation and the mucous from your intestines. Because it is rich in enzymes it also improves your body’s ability to better absorb nutrients, taking the burden of stomach pains off your shoulders.

We know carrots are usually the ones you turn to when wanting to protect your eyesight, but avocados can do the trick just as good. Being filled with antioxidants and Lutein and Zeaxanthin nutrients, it can benefit your eye health and reduce the risk of cataracts and macular degeneration.

You can make avocados the key-ingredient in your beauty ritual: not only it will leave your hair and skin healthy and smooth, but because of the glutathione antioxidant it is also considered the master in anti-aging treatment.

Besides all of these perks, to which we can add up the mouthwatering, refreshing taste, we’re just wondering ourselves what more could you ask for in a fruit? If you don’t want to eat it raw, you can easily insert it in your meals for a guaranteed health boosting experience.

Initially when I turned to writing it was a decision made on some pretty shallow grounds, first off it was Carrie Bradshaw building a fire under my writing juices. Spicing that up with some reading, somewhere in my 2nd year of collage I was already fascinated. Margaret Laurence once said ”When I say work I only mean writing. Everything else is just odd jobs.” and I find that painfully true.
If it's something you're drawn to, you reach for it in any of its forms, either it's in a newspaper, on a blog, maybe a book or a novel or you just go full-freelancing, you reach for it:)
